Kathmandu Feb 13 : A meeting between Chairperson of the CPN (UML) and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Syed Haider Shah was held at the former’s residence in Balkot on Sunday.
The meeting between the two was focused on relations between the two countries, according to UML Chair Oli’s Secretariat. Issues of ‘successfully bringing relations between the two countries and SAARC to a new height’ during the tenure of Oli as Nepal’s PM were also discussed, it has been said.
It was a courtesy call as part of outreach to political leadership in the context of strengthening Pakistan-Nepal bilateral relations. The Ambassador complimented Mr. KP Sharma Oli for his immense contribution in furtherance of bilateral ties during his tenure as Prime Minister.
He also recalled his effort towards revival of SAARC. The Ambassador hoped that Mr. K.P Oli would continue to contribute towards Pakistan Nepal relations as a “friend of Pakistan”.
Mr. KP Oli thanked the Ambassador and expressed his desire to see the bilateral relations of the two countries flourish further.
