Kathmandu Feb 10 : Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has been held meeting.
Leader Koirala had gone to Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar this morning for a meeting. During the meeting, issues related to MCC, local elections and other issues were discussed.
During the meeting, Prachanda had proposed to form an alliance in the election. But Koirala said he was not in favor of an electoral alliance.
“We will form an alliance with the government, but I will not form an alliance in the election under any circumstances,” said his aide Dinesh Thapaliya, quoting Koirala. According to Thapaliya, Prachanda had repeatedly spoken of an electoral alliance but Koirala had denied it.
Dr. Koirala also suggested not to get confused about MCC. He was of the view that if it is accepted, it should be passed by the parliament quickly and if it is rejected, it should be done by the parliament itself.
Koirala had also met CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli two days ago.
