Kathmandu : The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) has postponed the Palika level conference to the first week of November due to the Dashain Festival. The CPN-M has decided to hold ward conferences on Kartik 13 and a municipal level conference on Marg 4 .

The date of the upcoming national conference has not been postponed. However, a meeting of the standing committee held in Parisdanda on Monday changed the date of the local level conferences, said Dev Gurung, leader of the standing committee.

After the meeting, Gurung informed the media that the time for local and province conferences has been tightened . “It simply came to our notice then. No, it was recommended to move the time, so there was a discussion accordingly. ‘

The meeting of the standing committee has extended the date of renewal of membership till mid-October. Gurung said that the time of the local convention has been postponed but the time of the provincialconference and the national conference has not been postponed.
