Kathmandu : CPN- UML has drawn the attention of Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota to take action against 14 lawmakers of Madhav Kumar’s party.
In a brief conversation with media persons after meeting Speaker Sapkota, UML Chief Whip Vishal Bhattarai said that Speaker Sapkota had assured him of immediate action. Leader Bhattarai said that the CPN-UML was delaying the action against the 14 leaders even though it took 72 hours to take action against the leaders of other parties. He said that the delay in registering the party with the Election Commission was illegal, unconstitutional, vindictive and intended to split the CPN-UML in any way.
After that, after comrade Prachanda recommended Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Gauri Shankar Chaudhary, Prabhu Sah, Lekhraj Bhatta and other members of the House of Representatives, he published a notice and expelled them within 72 hours.
He warned that the CPN-UML would not remain silent if the Speaker thought that he would take action only after the registration of the Nepal’s party. Bhattarai said that he had informed the Speaker of the resignation of one party along with the list by taking action against some leaders of the party.
