Kathmandu: The ruling coalition has agreed to give special importance to the Madhav Nepal-led CPN (Unified Socialist), which was formed after rebelling against the CPN-UML, and giving political appointments and share in the government.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda have come to the conclusion that Madhav Nepal’s risky move has played a decisive role in the restoration of the House of Representatives by removing KP Sharma Oli and forming a government led by Sher Bahadur Deuba. Madhav Nepal, who got special importance from the National Assembly election while reviving the party, is currently getting priority in the appointments of the government.
Apart from the federal and provincial governments, about a thousand appointments made by the Oli-led government have been rejected.
Madhav Nepal will get at least 200 to 300 posts in those posts. Yadav Chandra Sharma has been appointed as the provincial chief of Bagmati, and when Nepal prime minister and party general seceretary Sharma was personal secretary of hi.
The Nepal side has also got the general manager of Railway Company Limited. On the recommendation of Nepal, the government has appointed Niranjan Jha as General Manager. A member of the task force said that discussions are underway to give six ministers to Madhav Nepal’s side in the task force of the ruling coalition.
According to Madhav Nepal’s proposal, the cabinet will be expanded only after his party gets legitimacy.
