Oli went ahead but Madhav Nepal became a prisoner of indecision and anger

Kathmandu: After the establishment party of the CPN-UML passed a legislative amendment proposal to make extensive changes in the party organization, the UML’s attempt for unity has failed. Chairman KP Sharma Oli has given a clear message that he will not listen to the cries of senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal Group after passing the legislative amendment proposal from the standing and central committee meeting on Monday.

The current structure has been extensively changed in the draft legislative amendment prepared to be submitted to the legislative General Convention scheduled for September 10 and 11. The Nepal Group had demanded that the Legislative Assembly and the renewal of membership be stopped for the sake of unity. Leaders of the Nepal group have been outraged by Oli’s latest decision. Oli is in the mood to bow down after being threatened by them.

“Earlier, we had said to stop the meeting of the standing committee and take measures for unity. He did not stop, They made decisions and moved towards division,” said Deputy General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal. “Monday’s central committee meeting did not contribute much to unity. In response to these two meetings and decisions, we continue to discuss why Comrade Oli is moving towards division’. The Madhav group has not yet risen above expectations.

“Madhav Nepal tried to prolong the unity process by placing one condition after another. Chairman Oli has come to the conclusion that the party organization will not work in this way. Now, if Madhav Nepal comes, the door will not be closed for him. Otherwise, the party will move forward without him,” is the common conclusion of the Oli group. Oli understands that Madhav Nepal will form a separate party. Therefore, he is clear that the party will pick up the pace while waiting for him. ‘ He has accused Nepal of collaborating with CPN (M) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda to destroy the UML.

“Madhav has nothing to say about party. He started destroying the party with Prachanda. He formed a right-wing alliance with Deuba by overthrowing his government,” said central member Mahesh Basnet, quoting Oli. ‘Friends tell Madhavji not to say anything. I don’t even want to say, a lot of ‘
In the meantime, the second tier leaders made many attempts at unity but failed. Also on Saturday, UML Vice-Chairman Bhim Rawal called on President Vidya Bhandari and urged him to play the role of mediator for unity. “In the meantime, there have been many attempts at unity. We also tried to stop the meeting of the Central Committee on Monday. That did not happen.

Instead, the decision of the meeting is another step for division, ‘said Ram Kumari Jhankri, a Nepal faction leader. She has written on social media – Ka. Kha. According to Oli, there are two kinds of people in the world

  1. Enemies
  2. Servants
It is clear what he wants to do. So what you are doing today, the party you are trying to form is not unique. “We tried to avoid division. Added another challenge. ‘

‘There is no consensus within the Madhav Nepal group at this time. There are two views: to conduct training programs across the country to expose all the atrocities committed by Oli against the constitution, the party and the movement since the dissolution of the parliament, or to support unity even if Oli is in favor of partition.

The Madhav Nepal group has no choice but to form a new party and join the government or return to the party by surrendering to Oli.
The Oli faction has been repeatedly saying that it will wait for Madhav Nepal and make the party a prisoner of indecision.
‘Oli’s one-sided decision on Monday has closed the chapter of unity. Parallel activities across the country must now be intensified, Nepal has instructed leaders close to it.’ Yesterday’s decision has hampered party unity. ‘
