Kathmandu : The coalition government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is set to release a “white paper” on the country’s current economic situation on Tuesday.
The Finance Ministry source told Nepalpage that the Deuba-led government, which was formed on July 12 with the exit of the KP Sharma Oli-led government, is going to issue a white paper depicting the economic progress of the previous government and even before .
The white paper is scheduled to be unveiled by Finance Minister Janardan Sharma at 1 pm today.
Earlier, after the KP Oli-led government came to power, former finance minister Dr Yuvraj Khatiwada had issued a white paper showing that the economic condition of the country was in dire straits.
However, the Deuba government has dubbed the letter as “information on the current economic situation in the country” despite the fact that it is a white paper, according to a Finance Ministry source.
