Kathmandu: A meeting of the Standing Committee of the CPN-UML’s Madhav Nepal faction has decided to emphasize on party unity by uttering public insults. A meeting of the standing committee of the Nepal side held on Monday has decided to still work for party unity.
A standing committee member claimed that the proposal to make KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Nepal as Chairman and go to the next general convention could be used as a basis for unity.

Another leader of the Oli faction said that Oli did not want to discuss the issue even though the leaders of the Oli faction had put forward a proposal to make Madhav Nepal the second chairman to resolve the dispute within the UML. . Though some leaders of Madhav Nepal’s side seem to agree with this proposal, Leader Nepal does not believe it.
Senior Leader Nepal have strongly denied that the 10-point agreement was abstract.

A leader said that if the Oli faction wants unity, it should have a concrete proposal and behave accordingly.
Although the second tier leaders of both the factions said that they should unite by adopting two chairman systems, But chairman Oli did not agree. Madhav Nepal understands that the unity and coordination of the UML, which is divided into two factions at the province and local levels, is not as easy as the unity at the center.
Lately, there has been a difference of opinion within the Madhav Nepal group between uniting with the Oli faction and not reaching an agreement with the Oli faction under any circumstances.

Madhav nepal Faction’s leaders who signed an agreement with Oli factions after that Nepal have stopped believing to Bhim Rawal. Nepal is building a large team of third tier leaders within the party.

Madhav Nepal’s desire is to unite only by removing Oli from the presidency or by putting forward a third person. If this is not possible, Madhav Nepal has come to the conclusion of forming a new party.
Madhav Nepal is being pressured by the third tier leaders and the eight lawmakers who have recently left the Oli faction to form a new party.
Madhav Nepal has started participating in the meeting of the ruling coalition to increase the pressure on Oli.

In the meeting of the ruling coalition, it has been agreed to give five ministries to the Madhav group. There is no quota of eight rebels from the Oli faction within five seat. A group of eight will get two ministers. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has taken the responsibility of appointing Kisan Shrestha of Tanahun and Prem Alemgar of Doti as ministers from that group. He is certain to become a minister even if the loses the post of MP.
