Kathmandu : CPN-UML central committee meeting is being held. The meeting will be held at the Tulsilal Memorial Foundation building at Chasal in Lalitpur at 11 am.

According to UML office secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang, the meeting will discuss the legislative session and action against leaders who disobey the party’s directives.

UML is holding the assembly session from Aug 9 to 11 this year.

Similarly, on Sunday, when Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba took a vote of confidence, the UML had directed to vote in the opposition. But 33 UML MPs violated the party whip. Of them, 22 have given a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Deuba.

Eight members of Madhav Nepal’s faction left the House without voting and adopted a policy of neutrality. Meanwhile, eight members of Chairman KP Oli’s faction also crossed the floor and cast their votes of confidence.

Regarding this, Tamang said, “We will take action in connection with the violation of party system, party constitution and party discipline.”

He said that disciplinary action would be taken against the party which was ruled by the Supreme Court not to make the issue of vote of confidence a matter of action. He said, ‘He would have to give a vote of confidence. That was not the subject of discussion. But there is talk of stopping the growing chaos in the party. ‘

He said that although there was no action on the issue of giving a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Deuba, there were other issues of action.

‘Parliamentary seat may not be revoked on the issue of vote of confidence. But action is taken on other issues. The post of MP also goes. We will move forward after completing the process in today’s meeting, ‘he said.
