Kathmandu: Newly appointed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior CPN (UML) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal are holding talks. According to a source in the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, talks held between the two leaders at Nepal residence in Koteshwor, Kathmandu.
Deuba had reached Koteshwor on Wednesday afternoon from Singha Durbar to meet the leader Nepal.
Deuba was appointed prime minister on Tuesday with the support of UML leaders Nepal, Maoist Center and JSP (Yadav-Bhattarai) group. Deuba was sworn in by President Vidyadevi Bhandari on Tuesday.
The vote of the Madhav Nepal group is mandatory for Deuba to get a vote of confidence within a month. Oli and Madhav have become more intolerant towards Madhav after the UML said that there would be unity between them. On Wednesday alone, Oli announced from his private residence in Balkot that Madhav Nepal had no place in the party. Oli also said that Madhav had betrayed by supporting Deuba.
