Kathmandu : A meeting was held at the residence of CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal at Koteshwar among CPN-Maoist Central Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Madhav nepal and Communist Party of Nepal General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand (Bipla).
According to information provided by Prachanda’s secretariat, talks have taken place between leader Nepal, Prachanda, Biplav and Dharmendra Banstola.
Initially, there was a dialogue between Nepal and Biplob. After a while, Prachanda reached the discussion.
Only yesterday, Biplob had a one-and-a-half hour long discussion with Prachanda at his residence in Khumaltar.
Some time ago, the Biplab group had reached a three-point agreement with the Oli-led government. The Biplab group is worried that the demand has not been met even after a long time.
Biplob met Prachanda for the first time after a gap of five years. He split from the Maoist party in 2069 BS along with Mohan Baidya and Ram Bahadur Thapa. Later, Biplob left Vaidya and Thapa and formed their own party. He even used some armed struggle. After the failure of the armed struggle, he came to talks with the government and expressed his commitment to peaceful politics.
When KP Oli was the Prime Minister, Biplav had been very close to Oli and had been sharply criticizing Prachanda. After Oli’s ouster, the Biplob has started to increase relations with leaders including Prachanda.
