Kathmandu. The Madhav Nepal faction has boycotted the CPN-UML central committee meeting due to disagreement over the one-day definition.

The Nepal faction argues that the meeting convened by Chairman KP Sharma Oli was not a committee elected from the Ninth General Convention even though the Central Committee was made active by dissolving the Organizing Committee of the Tenth National General Convention.

A two-point decision taken by the Madhav Nepal faction Standing Committee members at a meeting held at the Quality Banquet in Buddhanagar on Thursday has been made public. In which, it is mentioned that the decision of the General Convention Organizing Committee has obstructed all the committees to make them functional before Jesth 2, 2075 BS.

The decision of the meeting said, “It is not possible to participate in the meeting convened on July 3 as the meeting of the 10th National General Convention Organizing Committee formed against the party constitution and its decision will hamper the achievement of party unity.” The solution to the problem must be found through dialogue and consensus. ‘

In the second decision taken by the meeting of Madhav’s faction, it is mentioned that the process of fair and meaningful dialogue and consensus should be followed to move the UML forward in a united manner.

It is mentioned in the written decision of the Nepal side that the meeting of the Central Committee should be convened only on the basis of the necessary consensus and the necessary decision proposal in the standing committee meeting.

A leader of the Nepal side said that the necessary level of consensus meant that a meeting should be convened only on the basis of talks between KP Oli and Madhav Nepal.

The Nepal side has stipulated that the 41 members nominated from the last meeting of the CPN (UML) before the CPN (Maoist) unity should be included only after the meeting of the Central Committee.

Similarly, the Nepal side has said that the UML leaders including Ram Bahadur Thapa can be included in the committee only after the Jestha 22, 2078 BS meeting of the CPN-UML.
