Khanal-Nepal faction Conclusion : The ultimatum given to withdraw the signature is rejected

Kathmandu : CPN-UML’s Jhala Nath Khanal -Madhav Kumar Nepal faction’s lawmakers have concluded that the ultimatum given by Chairman KP Oli to withdraw the signature in favor of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba was not considered.

Twenty-three lawmakers from the Khanal-Nepal faction had signed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking Deuba to be made the prime minister. Chairman Oli had given an ultimatum on Friday to announce the withdrawal of such signatures by Monday evening.

After Oli’s ultimatum, Khanal -Nepal group of lawmakers had a discussion on Saturday. Rejecting the ultimatum issued by Oli, the meeting concluded that the signature would not be withdrawn under any circumstances.

Leader Jeevan Ram Shrestha said the ultimatum given by the illegal committee was meaningless. He said that it has been concluded that the decision will not be taken back. According to Shrestha, only the decision taken at the meeting as per the Supreme Court verdict abut party on Phagun 23, 2077 BS will be accepted.

During the meeting, Madhav Kumar Nepal informed about the discussion with Chairman Oli on Friday. Leader Nepal told him that he had laid down his conditions at the beginning, Shrestha said.
