Kathmandu . The Election Commission has given official status to Upendra Yadav faction of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP).
As Yadav has a majority in the Central Executive Committee, the commission has given him official status.
After a dispute between the two factions over the issue of official status, the Election Commission had called the members of the Central Executive Committee to identify who was in favor of whom. Out of 51 members 34 with Upendra Yadav.
