Pokhara 12 June: Krishnachandra Nepali Pokhrel, NC provincial parliamentarian has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Gandaki province. Province Chief Sita Kumari Poudel has appointed Pokhrel as the Chief Minister as per Article 168 (5) of the Constitution.

Pokhrel had submitted the demand on behalf of the opposition alliance with the signatures of 31 members of the province assembly after calling for presenting the basis for the appointment of the chief minister.
Now he has to get a vote of confidence from the province assembly within 30 days.
