Eight lakh doses of Chinese vaccine are being brought

Kathmandu, May 31: Chinese President Xi Jinping has announced that 1 million doses of vaccine against the corona virus will be brought to Nepal on very soon.

A charter flight of Nepal Airlines is leaving for Beijing, the capital of China, at 11 pm on Monday to get the Chinese vaccine. General Manager of Nepal Airlines Dimprakash Poudel informed that the plane will return with the vaccine on Tuesday at around 2 pm.

According to Paudel, for the first time, eight lakh doses of vaccine are being prepared. Chinese President Xi Jinping in a conversation with President Bidhyadevi Bhandari on last Wednesday announced to provide one million doses of vaccine to Nepal. The remaining 200,000 doses of vaccine will be brought back, according to sources in the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
