The country recorded a total of 1,217 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the laboratories across the country conducted 7,232 RT-PRC tests that confirmed coronavirus positive on 774 males and 443 females.

With this, the coronavirus tally reached 245,650 in the country till December 10. Likewise, the Ministry shared that now the country has 12,368 reported active cases of the virus. In the past 24 hours, altogether 1,024 infected people got recovery from the virus infection. So far, 231,601 people recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country. The recovery rate in Nepal is 94.2 per cent, the Ministry stated in the coronavirus related national update.

Likewise, a total of 404 new cases were confirmed in the Kathmandu Valley alone. Similarly, 12 persons succumbed to the virus across the country in the past 24 hours, hitting the total COVID-19 related deaths 1,663. The Ministry stated that 309 people are receiving treatment in ICU and 57 others are in ventilators in different hospitals across the country.
