Four Letters and documents of NCP’s Two chairmen (Full Text)

Kathmandu, Nov. 19: The Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) concluded yesterday deciding to hold another meeting on Nov. 28, Saturday.

The meeting decided to hold the Standing Committee meeting on December 3 and postponed the Central Committee meeting for December 10.

Narayan Kaji Shreshtha, the NCP spokesperson, informed that NCP Chairmen and the prime minister, KP Sharma Oli is going to present his own proposal in the Secretariat meeting scheduled to be held on 28 November.

NCP spokesperson Shrestha said that the Secretariat meeting scheduled to be held on 28 November would resolve the internal struggle of the party and would take appropriate decisions to settle the present contradictions.

Earlier, NCP executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had presented his political proposal in the party secretariat meeting held on 13 November.

Earlier, doubts had surfaced after the party co-chair and PM Oli called for a cabinet meeting coinciding with the Secretariat meeting. One of the members close to PM Oli suggested him not to ignore the meeting.

Chairman Prachanda including four secretariat members had handed over a request letter to PM Oli to summon the secretariat meeting as soon as possible.  According to a high-level source chairman and PM, Oli got irritated and in response, gave a 10-page long letter to Prachanda. Similarly, Prachanda also responded to Oli’s letter. This exchange of letters has clearly shown that there are deep differences between the two chairmen.

Finally, amidst doubts and uncertainty chairman KP Sharma participated November 18 secretariat meeting. For the kind information of our readers, we have presented all the documents and letters exchanged between two chairmen as well a joint letter to the PM. These are unofficial translations.
