2,402 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu, Oct. 16: The Ministry of Health and Population on Friday confirmed 2,402 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.

In 16,531 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 2,402 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the 2,402 new cases, 1,784 were detected in Kathmandu, 244 were found in Bhaktapur and 374 were recorded in Lalitpur.

Moreover, some 4,392 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Friday, taking the national tally to 126,137 including 88,040 cases of recoveries and 715 death cases.
