Biratnagar, Sept 7

An elderly person infected with coronavirus died at the Koshi Hospital’s COVID-19 Treatment Centre in Biratnagar today.

He is a 76-year-old man with Poudel surname from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-10 and he died this morning, the Chief Manager at the Centre, Gyan Bahadur Basnet said.

He was brought to the Centre last Saturday after encountering problem in respiration. The elderly patient had tested positive for coronavirus on August 27 and had been staying on home isolation since nine days.

He also had high blood pressure.
