Coronavirus infected person dies in Chitwan

Chitwan, Sept 1

A coronavirus infected person died in course of treatment at Chitwan Medical College today.

Director at the Hospital, Dr Dayaram Lamsal, said that the 58-year-old man of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-15 was admitted at the hospital on August 30 after suffering from fever and cough. Coronavirus was confirmed on him on August 31. He died in course of treatment at ICU. With this, number of people died from coronavirus has reached 17 in the district.

Meanwhile, a person died and four others were injured in a road accident at Ichchhakamana rural municipality-3 along the Prithvi highway this morning. The deceased has been identified as 15-year-old Bade Rana Magar of Barahathawa-2 of Sarlahi.

The accident took place when an ambulance (Na 5 Cha 1033) heading towards Sarlahi from Kathmandu carrying patients fell 50 meters off the road. Rana Magar died in course of treatment at Old Medical College .

The injured are undergoing treatment at the same hospital, said Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Chitwan, Surya Bahadur Thapa.
