A body of an elderly person, who had gone missing when a landslide buried his house in Baglung district, has been found this morning.

The deceased has been identified as 61-year-old Hari Krishna Poudel, 61, of Jaimini municipality-9 in the district. Poudel had gone missing when landslide following incessant rainfall buried his house.

Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Baglung, Hem KC, said that however, other five family members are safe. The body of Poudel was recovered from the house buried by the landslide at the initiative of locals and police personnel.

The landslide has also completely damaged the houses of Pabitra Devi Sharma, Indra Sharma, Ratna Bahadur Chhetri and Tara Devi Chhetri.
