Nepal records 15 deaths per day

Kathmandu, September 14:

Mortality rate from corona virus infections is raising day by day.  

In the last 24 hours, five women and 10 men died of corona infection, according to an updates from the Ministry of Health and Population. The highest number of deaths is reported in Kathmandu on Monday. Five men, including a 61-year-old woman, have died in Kathmandu district, according to the Ministry .

Likewise, one person has died in Lalitpur and one in Bhaktapur. Similarly, two men have died in Morang and one woman in Gorkha, Nawalparasi, Parsa and Kapilvastu districts.

A total of, 55,329 people have been infected with corona virus across the country. With the additional number of 1,170 new infected cases on Monday only.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Prof. Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, has said that 10,878 PCR tests samples are carried out. Out of which, the number of active infected people across the country is 15,393. There are 8,118 people sitting in institutional isolation.

Moreover, 879 infected people have recovered and returned home, in the last 24 hours.

So far, the number of recovered people has reached 39,576 in total.
