Prohibitory Orders in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu, August 2o :

With the unexpected rate of corona virus transmission, three district administration offices in the valley have imposed a prohibitory order for 7 days with effect from Wednesday midnight, 19 August, 2020.

The decision has been made in the hope of controlling the Covid-19 outbreak from spreading further. According to an official, with the imposition of prohibitory order public will be barred from coming out of their residents except in emergency.

Apart from grocery shops that provide food, medicine, security, electricity, telecommunication, drinking water, milk, fuels, and vegetable all business offices and organizations have been shut. Banks have stopped their services except ATM service keeping in view of the convenience of general public. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu district says, ‘Unless the movement in Kathmandu valley is completely prohibited, the outbreak of corona virus can’t be put under control’.

Means of public transport have been completely prohibited. With the imposition of prohibitory order has crippled public life.
