Kathmandu Valley to be shut down for 15 days

Kathmandu August 7:

It has been decided to shut down all the three districts of the Valley including, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. The Kathmandu Valley will be shut down for 15 days to reduce the risk of corona virus which is spreading rapidly.

The meeting of the District Coordinating Committees of all the three districts, including the CDOs, has decided to stop the functions/operation  of all government, non-government and private offices in the Valley from Sunday.

Kathmandu Chief District Officer Janak Raj Dahal has informed that the shutdown has been decided to be effective from the next Sunday , as the corona virus infection is increasing rapidly in the Kathmandu Valley.

Meetings of the District Coordinating Committees of the three districts, including the CDOs of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur, have been held in the Kathmandu Valley.

The local administration of the Kathmandu Valley has prepared a ban since there is no control over traffic and movement of people.
