High fever claims three lives

Kanchanpur, Aug 27

Three persons with the symptoms of high fever died in Mahakali Municipality, Kanchanpur.

The deceased are Puja Bogati, 13, Gambhir Bhandari, 65, and Prem Bahadur Chand, 21, according to the Municipality’s Health Section. Chief at Municipality’s Health Section Jaya Bahadur Mahara said that the three died while receiving treatment at Dhangadhi in Kailali as they were referred there for further treatment.

Mahara shared that Bhandari was also the patient of diabetes and high-blood pressure while Prem died on the way to health care centre. Mahara added that four others with high-fever received treatment and some of them returned home after recovery.

It is said that blood sample was sent for the test and the reports are awaited. The health workers have suspected the infection of Japanese encephalitis since the persons with high-fever have developed the symptoms similar to that disease.
