Kathmandu , August 23:

Additional 818 new cases of corona virus are recorded on Sunday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 818 new infections have been added in 8,026 PCR tests.

A total of 166 people have been infected in the Kathmandu Valley. According to Prof. Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Spoke Pearson of Ministery of Health and Population , in Kathmandu, 126 people were infected, 12 in Lalitpur and 28 in Bhaktapur. Out of them, 220 are women and 598 are men.

The number of active infected people across the country is 13,155.Out of which 9 thousand 212 are in institutional isolation.

Similarly, there are 3,943 people in Home Isolation till Sunday. In the last 24 hours, 281 infected people have recovered and returned back home.

So far, a total of 18,631 people have recovered and returned home Gautam said.

There are 11,414 people in quarantine across the country on Sunday. Till date, 604,044 PCR tests have been conducted.
