COVID-19 patients dies in State Hospital

Kathmandu, August 30:

A COVID-19 infected person admitted in Lumbini State Hospital, Rupandehi district died in course of treatment today.

The 67-year-old man of from Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, Ward No 5 passed away this noon, according to the Lumbini State Hospital. Suffering from high fever and respiratory problems, the elderly man was admitted in the Hospital at 4:35 am today itself.

A PCR test conducted on him confirmed the COVID-19 infection. He was thereafter admitted in the isolation facility of the Hospital where he breathed his last, according to a press statement issued by the Hospital’s information officer, Dr Bishnu Gautam.

The deceased was suffering from cardiovascular related complications and high blood pressure related issues, the Hospital maintained.

Nine people have succumbed to flu-like infection in Rupandehi district so far.
