Three wards of Tilathi Koiladi inundated

Kathmandu July 21;

As many as three wards of Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality in Saptari district have been inundated following incessant rain for the past two days. Belahi village of ward no 1 and Banarjhula village in ward 4 and 5 have been completely inundated, according to Rural Municipality Disaster Management Officer, Rajesh Kumar Jha.

Water has entered into around 200 houses in Barjhula and 100 houses in Belhi. Likewise, rising water level in Khando River has begun sweeping more than 50 metres of embankment’s spur. Flood in Khando River has also caused damages to roads in three four places at Banarjhula and Koiladi area, informed Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality’s Satish Singh.

Likewise, water has entered in around 50 houses at Hanumannagar Kalangini Rural Municipality as the Saptakoshi River swelled. Similarly, ward no 2, 5 and 6 of Rajbiraj Rural Municipality have been inundated after rain water entered the human settlement, displacing 75 households.
