NC’s COVID-19 monitoring committee holds consultation with drug entrepreneurs

Kathmandu, July 31

Nepali Congress’ COVID-19 monitoring committee has consulted drug entrepreneurs and discussed availability of medicines in the wake of the ongoing pandemic.

The committee coordinated by party’s Joint General Secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat discussed the status of the essential drugs in the country.

During the discussion, the participants suggested the committee to warn about the lackadaisical attitude seen in procurement of the drugs and its management as well the irregularities surrounding the procurement.

Committee coordinator Dr Mahat demanded a thorough probe and stern action against the culprit involved in the embezzlement while procuring medical goods.

He also drew the attention of the government towards the problems facing the public in prevention and control of the COVID-19 and treatment of the infected ones. Present at the discussion were committee member NP Saud, Dr Prabha Budhathoki and office-bearers of the drug entrepreneurs.
