Kaura dance preservation journalism prize

The ‘National Indigenous Kaura Preservation Journalism Prize-2077′ is to be awarded to Tanahu-based journalist Pratap Ranamagar. The prize is established by National Indigenous Kaura Preservation Committee, Nepal and operated by the Nepal Magar Journalists’ Association, Kaski. The prize carries a purse of Rs. 10,000 and a copper plaque. Affiliated to Kantipur Television, Ranamagar is Gandaki coordinator of the Association. He is being honored for promoting the indigenous Kaura dance, popular in Gandaki State, through the medium of journalism, the Association Chair Rudra Bahadur Hitanamagar said.
