Prachanda and Nepal’s bottom line is to quit Oli as the PM post.

Kathmandu ,July 16:

Nepal Communist Party Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal have demanded for the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. There has been efforts to reach a consensus on resolving intra-party differences , however, it could not and therefore, the standing committee meeting is again scheduled for Friday.

 The three leaders have a discussion at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar ,today. The meeting was anticipated to sort out intra-party variances since top three leaders were involved in it.

Before triangle meeting of Baluwatar NCP Chairman Prachanda, senior leaders Jhala Nath Khanal and Nepal, NCP Vice Chairman Bam Dev Gautam, Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Ram Bahadur Thapa were discussing in Khumlarar Prachand’s Residence . Top xis leaders have been formed already bottom line only the option to the PM resignation of the post. After that would be consensus of the party meeting . But PM oli has irritated of the six leaders separate meetings.

 It is said that during the discussion, Chairman Prachanda and Nepal suggested Prime Minister Oli to resign from the post of Prime Minister. According to sources, Prime Minister Oli has reiterated his stance of not resigning from both the posts. Discussions have been unproductive as both groups have maintained their own stance.

Secretary General Bishnu Poudel was also present at today’s meeting.

Secretary General Poudel informed that no conclusion has been made despite the discussions. According to him, it has been agreed to hold a standing committee meeting on Friday. The SC meeting which began on June 24 has been adjourned time and again. It has been adjourned for six times already since June 30.

 Prachanda had called Nepal for talks today, after, talks with Oli on Tuesday and Wednesday, failed to reach a consensus on resolving the dispute regarding the Party.

Before Prachanda and Nepal left for Baluwatar, a meeting of six leaders of the group’s secretariat was held at Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar.

In the standing committee meeting held from 10 June, Prachanda and Nepal have demanded that Oli should resign from both the post of prime minister and party chairman.

 Prime Minister Oli has reiterated his stance of not leaving any post.
