NCP’s standing committee to meet again on Friday

Kathmandu, June 24

The standing committee meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) today concluded with a decision to meet again on Friday after setting an agenda for the same. At the meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar, Chairpersons – KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ spoke about the current situation and the meeting. Following the meeting, NCP Spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha shared that chairperson duo expressed views about government, party and overall situation as well as current challenges and opportunities.

On the occasion, the chairpersons stressed the need of moving the government and party ahead by reviewing the positive and negative situation on the basis norms, values of Communist ideology as well as people’s mandate. Similarly, Deputy-Head of NCP Central Publicity and Publication Department, Surya Thapa, said that the meeting has approved different agenda including prevention, control and treatment of coronavirus, problems and solution of border dispute, overall review of government’s activities, review of party’s activities, remaining task of party unification and MCC.

The meeting also passed the agenda including those related to the May 23 Rukum (West) mass murder incident, bill related to citizenship and allowance of federal lawmakers..
