Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is preparing to leave for a three-day visit to India on January 10.
Deuba is on his way to India to attend the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit’ to be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the home state of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, from January 10 to 12.
According to a source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the proposal for Deuba’s visit has come from India and the Nepali side is looking positive. Prime Minister Deuba has also instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to do homework on preparations for the visit.
“The ministry has set a date of 9 to 12 January for now,” a foreign ministry official said. “This is not a state visit like other times.”
