
Kathmandu. Chairman of the CPN-Unified Socialist Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the majority of the five-party alliance has reached everywhere.
At the meeting of the first parliamentary party held on Sunday after the registration of the new party, Chairman Nepal said that the majority of the alliance had reached the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.
“The Congress has 63 in the House of Representatives, the Maoists have 49 and we have 23. This is the majority,” he said. One is independent and one is nominated. The coalition has a clear majority as the president is not allowed to sign the bill.
He said that it would be easier to make laws and work as there is a majority of five-party alliance in the states as well. He also directed to get more UML elected representatives at the state and local levels to join the new party.

The first meeting of the parliamentary parties held on Sunday after the registration of the new party unanimously elected Chairman Nepal.
Similarly, Beduram Bhusal, a member of the Standing Committee, has been elected as the Leader of the National Assembly Parliamentary Party. Other office bearers will be elected later, said MP Virodh Khatiwada.

A meeting of the parliamentary parties has formed a Legislative Drafting Committee. Bhavani Khapung, Sher Bahadur Kunwar, Niradevi Jairu, Thagendra Prakash Puri and Laxmi Chaudhary are members of the committee.
