Kathmandu : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Foreign affairs Chief Vijay Muralidhar Chauthaivale, who is on a four-day political visit to Nepal, has met with Leader of the Main Opposition and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Chauthaivale, who arrived in Nepal on Sunday, reached Oli’s residence in Balkot on Monday morning and held political discussions with him.

Chauthaiwa, who entered Oli’s residence in Balkot at 8:45 am, had a discussion with Oli for about an hour and a half. Even before Oli dissolved parliament last year, Chauthaivale had long discussions with then-Prime Minister Oli. But the Indian side understands that Oli has done one thing and the other speakswith the Indian side. But oli said that India and other international communities were on his side and had adopted a policy of crushing his rivals.

This is the first official visit to Nepal by a top BJP leader since the change of government.
Chauthaiwale is the head of the Indian Department of External Affairs as well as the chief planner of Nepal policy and the strategist of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Dr. Chauthaiwale is scheduled to meet Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, chairman of the ruling CPN-Maoist Center, Madhav Kumar Nepal, chairman of the newly formed CPN (Unified Socialist) and leaders of Madhesh Kendri parties.

Eventually, Oli was forced to retreat.

Chauthaiwale had earlier met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Sunday evening shortly after his arrival in Kathmandu from India.
