Kathmandu: President Vidyadevi Bhandari has ratified the ordinance on political parties. President Bhandari’s personal secretary Bhesharaj Adhikari informed that the ordinance has been verified.

The cabinet had recommended the ordinance on Tuesday to ease the party split. A meeting of the cabinet held on Tuesday had decided to recommend an ordinance to the President with the provision of splitting the Central Committee or the parliamentary parties which have reached 20 percent members.

This decision has been opposed by the leaders of the ruling party and the opposition.
