Kathmandu: Outgoing president of the Film Artists’ Association Nawal Khadka has called on CPN (Maoist) Chairman Puspakaml Dahal Prachanda to take special initiative in making the film industry run smoothly.

He urged the people to take special initiative for the promotion and Nepali original films.

During a meeting at Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar on Wednesday, Khadka explained the problems and challenges of the Nepali film industry and requested to take special initiative for the upliftment of the film industry and promotion of Nepali original films. Filmmaker KL Peedit, who participated in the meeting, expressed his commitment to stay.
