Lumbini MP Bimala oli is out of contact with the Maoist Center

Butwal : According to the CPN-MC, Lumbini Provincial Assembly member Bimala Khatri oli is not in contact with the her Party.

CPN (MaoistCenter) MP Indrajit Tharu said that Bimala had not come in contact with him three days ago to attend the party’s parliamentary party meeting on Saturday. While Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel is saying that he will take a vote of confidence, it is suspected that Oli left the CPN (Maoist) and chose UML.

Tharu, a member of the CPN (Maoist Centre ), said that the party feared that Bimala might have been sent back to the UML by the people of the government under pressure and temptation.
Bimala, who won the by-election in Dang from the then Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), had chosen the Maoist center after the CPN was dismissed by the Supreme Court.

“We have not been able to contact Bimalaji while informing all Hon’bles by phone to attend the parliamentary party meeting,” Tharu said.

UML, on the other hand, has been insisting that Bimala oli not be allowed to choose the CPN (Maoist center), saying that she has attended the party’s parliamentary party meeting and district committee meeting.

She had announced at a press conference on April 3 that she had voluntarily chosen the Maoists. She had been living in the wave of the Maoist center even in the provincial assembly meetings. After the dismissal of the CPN, the UML parliamentary party did not send Bimala’s name when the Provincial Assembly Secretariat demanded the list of its MPs.

DSP Shyamu Aryal of Area Police Office Tulsipur said that Khatri was in Ghorahi, the district headquarters of Dang. Despite repeated attempts by online news to contact MP oli, she has not received a call.

Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel is again in the minority in the 83-member Lumbini Provincial Assembly after three lawmakers from the party expelled from their posts on Friday. The UML has only 38 MPs in favor of the chief minister while the opposition alliance has 41 votes. Even if Bimala returns to the UML, the government will not be able to get a majority.

The opposition alliance is preparing to file a no-confidence motion against the chief minister by including a special session as soon as the new Provincial chief arrives in the Province.

Bhumishwar Dhakal, chief whip of the UML parliamentary party, claimed that MP oli belonged to his party and did not go anywhere. A few days ago, the ruling party tried to attract Janata Samajwadi Party MP Purmati Dhenga but failed.
