JSP expels 16 members including Mahantha Thakur, opponent faction planing to challenge through court

Kathmandu : A meeting of the executive committee of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) chaired by party chairman Upendra Yadav has taken action against another chairman Mahanta Thakur and other 16 members .

A meeting held at the party office in Balkumari expelled all those who did not support him for party officially dispute.

When identified at the Election Commission on Monday, 34 people were in favor of Yadav and 16 in favor of Thakur. Resham Chaudhary was neutral in the 51-member executive committee.

JSP has said that the executive committee will have 34 members at present after taking action against all those who are in favor of Thakur.

Meanwhile, Thakur’s faction is going to supreme court against the Election Commission decision. Thakur’s faction is dissatisfied after the commission gave party officiality to Yadav’s faction and is going to court against the commission.
