Sherchan and Gurung appointed as Lumbini and Gandaki provincial chief

Kathmandu: Government has appointed Amik Sherchan as the head of Lumbini province and Prithviman Gurung as the head of Gandaki province.
Earlier, Sherchan was the head of Gandaki Provience. After the split of the CPN the then Oli government removed Sherchan and appointed UML cadre Sita Poudel as the chief.

The government has removed Sita Poudel and made Prithviman Gurung the provincial chief of Gandaki.

The government has removed Lumbini provincial chief Dharmanath Prasad Yadav and appointed Sherchan as chief.

Sherchan has twice been the country’s deputy prime minister and health minister also.

Prithviman Gurung is a Nepali Congress Chitwan district president and a former leader of the land’ problem resolution commission.
