Kathmandu. Corona virus infection has skyrocketed in Kathmandu Valley. Infection has increased in all the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley.
As per the details made public by the Ministry of Health today, 3421 infected people have been added across the country. Of these, about 1,000 are in the Kathmandu Valley alone.
According to the ministry, 677 people have been confirmed infected in Kathmandu, 197 in Lalitpur and 125 in Bhaktapur.
This number of new infections is the highest in a few weeks. The last time 12,240 PCR tests were performed across the country, 2,391 and 5,032 antigen tests confirmed 1,030 infections.
Infection has been on the rise, especially in Bagmati, Province One and Gandaki, since the ban was lifted. In Jhapa alone, 314 people have been infected.
Similarly, 120 people have been confirmed infected in Morang, 106 in Sunsari, 105 in Nawalparasi East, 98 in Chitwan, 84 in Makwanpur, 62 in Kaski and 61 in Dhading. Last time, only 1668 people have been infected.
The number of active infected case has reached 27,908. Of them, 669 are undergoing treatment in ICU and 166 in ventilator, according to the ministry.
Another 25 people have died from the corona virus infection. The total death toll has reached 9,738.
