Kathmandu : The Election Commission has decided to recognize the Central Executive Committee at the same time as the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) was uniting. The Election Commission (EC) on Thursday decided to recognize the working committee for uniting the party after hearing a dispute between Mahanta Thakur’s faction and Upendra Yadav’s faction for party officiality.
The Election Commission has now decided to identify the party by conducting a head count on 3 August at 11 am. The party that gets the majority in the identification will get the party officiality.
There are 31 members in favor of Upendra Yadav and 20 members in favor of Thakur.
