Kathmandu : The government is set to revoke all political appointments made by the KP Oli government after the dissolution of the parliament last December. The two ruling parties, the Nepali Congress and the CPN (Maoist) have discussed the issue of revoking the illegal appointments. The government had rejected the recommendations of the ambassadors to 11 different countries from the cabinet meeting held on Friday.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and ruling coalition partner CPN-Maoist Central Committee Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have agreed to expand the cabinet only after making public the immediate and long-term programs of the government.
“We have discussed with the prime minister about expanding the cabinet only after making public the immediate and long-term programs of the government,” said Vishnu Sapkota, Prachanda’s press coordinator.
Sapkota also informed that discussions were held with the Prime Minister on immediate and long-term programs of the government.
Before meeting Prime Minister Deuba, Prachanda had a discussion with CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav.
During the tripartite discussion held at the residence of the leader, discussions were also held on bringing common programs of the government, presence in the parliament, expansion of the cabinet and other issues.
