Kathmandu : As per the decision of the CPN-UML Central Committee meeting, the party’s 22 elected parliamentarians have been asked to clarify three main issues.
According to UML Central Office Secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang, the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was asked why he was absent during the vote of confidence in the parliament on May 10.
Leaders of UML’s Madhav Nepal faction were absent during Oli’s vote of confidence. For the same reason, Oli got only 93 votes.
Similarly, another question has been asked about the violation of party discipline. The issue of activities against the decision of the UML Standing Committee and the parliamentary parties has been included in the explanation.
Similarly, another question in the explanation was why he was involved in anti-party activities, said Tamang.
Not everyone has been sent the same explanation letter. Tamang said, “We are going to send explanations of different details by mentioning the same person who is related to the subject.”
A meeting of the 10th Central Committee of the CPN-UML held on Monday had decided to ask for a 24-hour explanation from 22 lawmakers who had given a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in Parliament on Sunday.
UML has asked 22 MPs for clarification.
