Kathmandu, July 19
A total of 2,245 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country in the past 24 hours. This was detected in 7,833 RT-PCR and 3,831 Antigen tests carried out during the same period. This takes the total number of positive cases in the country to 668,751 confirmed through RT-PCR tests and another 49,743 through Antigen tests. Likewise, 1,258 people recovered in the reference period, with the total recoveries reaching 633,332. The recovery rate stands at 94.7 per cent. Meanwhile, 32 people died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,582 as of today. A total of 23,334 people infected with COVID-19 are in home based isolation, 2503 in institutional isolation while 564 in ICU and 155 with ventilator support. Likewise, the total number of people vaccinated has reached 3,067,118 with first dose and 1,134,317 with second dose of different types of vaccines.
