Kathmandu : Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has been congratulated by Bharatiya Janata Party’s foreign affairs chief Vijay Chauthaivale.
He telephoned Prime Minister Deuba, who is also the president of the Nepali Congress, on Wednesday evening and congratulated him. During the phone conversation, the two sides expressed their commitment to continue promoting bilateral cooperation and collaboration. Giving information about the phone conversation through Twitter, Chauthaivale said, “We had a conversation with Sher Bahadur Deuba. I congratulate him on his appointment as Prime Minister. “
Both have agreed on the need for continuous party-to-party dialogue between the Nepali Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party.Earlier, Indian Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra reached Deuba’s residence and congratulated him.
According to sources close to Deuba, there is a suspicion that the Indian establishment is not unhappy with the lack of congratulations from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party Chairman JP Nadda.
Even China, its northern neighbor, has not yet congratulated Deuba. According to a source close to the Chinese President’s Office in Beijing, China did not like the fact that the Nepali Congress did not participate in the recent conference of world political parties in the presence of President Xi Jinping. The conference was attended by the main parties other than the Nepali Congress. China had invited half a dozen Nepali Congress leaders, including President Deuba, to the conference.
According to sources, Deuba will be greeted soon after seeing the situation. Not only that, China is ready to provide all kinds of assistance to Nepal. A few days ago, Chinese Ambassador Hou Yanqi said that China is ready to provide the required vaccine against the corona virus.
