Kathmandu : An Indian national has been killed in Sanepa of Lalitpur district, Kathmandu valley. Satyanarayana Parik, 59, of Rajasthan, India, was killed by a hammer.
Lalitpur Police Chief SSP Kiran Bajracharya told that a person may have entered the house through the window and hit him with a hammer. According to him, some household items have also been lost, so it is suspected that the person who came with the intention of stealing may be involved in the incident.
The last time Parik spoke to a man was on Friday evening via phone. Police said that no one was contacted after that. “The incident could have happened on Friday night,” police officials said.
Police also took trained dogs and forensic experts to the scene for investigation. Police officials are also analyzing footage from a nearby closed circuit (CC) TV camera.
Police have sent the body to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj for postmortem. The time and cause of death will be revealed after the postmortem.
Parikh worked as a marketer in an electronics store. He has been living in Nepal for 20 years, upstairs for that house in 12 years.
