Kathmandu : The quarterfinal match of the 47th edition of Copa America in Brazil has been completed. The quarterfinal match was decided on Tuesday after the last two matches of Group A.

This time, 10 teams from South America competed in the Copa, the world’s oldest football competition, in which 8 teams reached the quarterfinals and only two teams were eliminated from the group stage.

Bolivia are out of Group A and Venezuela are out of Group B.

Argentina beat Bolivia 4-1 in the final to win Group A. In the next match, Uruguay defeated Paraguay 1-0 to become the group runners-up. Paraguay finished third and Chile fourth, reaching the quarterfinals.

Hosts Brazil won Group B from Group B. Peru finished second, Colombia third and Ecuador fourth.

Argentina, winners of Group A, will now play fourth-placed Ecuador in Group B in the quarterfinals. Brazil, winners of Group B, will play fourth-placed Chile in Group A.

Uruguay, second in Group A, will face Colombia, third in Group B, and Paraguay, third in Group A, will face Peru, second in Group B.

The winner of the match between Argentina and Ecuador and Uruguay and Colombia will play in the semifinals. The winner of the match between Brazil and Chile and Paraguay and Peru will compete in the next semifinal.

The final will be played on July 10 at the Maracana Stadium.
