UML to go for review against SC order

Kathmandu June 11. The CPN-UML is going for a review against the Supreme Court’s order not to recognize the action taken by the organizing committee of the 10th National General Convention of the party.

The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that the floor-crossing MP could not be prosecuted by the 10th general convention organizing committee, had expelled four lawmakers who had crossed the floor in the Karnali state assembly.

Deputy leader of the parliamentary party Subash Nemwang said that they were preparing to go against the order. “We are preparing to go for a review,” he said.

CPN-UML has transformed the Central Committee into the General Convention Organizing Committee. But a bench of Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut on Thursday ruled that the floor-crossing MP could not be prosecuted by the General Convention Organizing Committee.
